Telehealth
Telehealth consent
Telehealth lets you consult a practitioner remotely. Here's what you should know before your consultation.
What is telehealth?
Telehealth means delivering care remotely — for example, a secure video consultation with a licensed practitioner rather than in person.
Benefits and limits
Telehealth offers convenient access to care. It also has limits: in some cases a practitioner may recommend an in-person assessment.
Confidentiality
Your consultations are confidential and conducted on secure platforms. No session is recorded without your consent.
Your consent
By proceeding with a consultation, you consent to receiving care via telehealth. You may withdraw this consent at any time.
Emergencies
Telehealth is not suitable for emergencies. In a medical emergency, call 911.
